Wow those little triangles were an emotional rollercoaster of disappointment and hope. I ordered the gold ones for the dance costume I'm making. When I first received them they looked just like the picture where some are gold and some are blue which was a little disconcerting at first. However, when I opened them, I found that one side was gold and the other was blue. I also read that they have a protective film so I checked to see if it was blue. So it was, and beneath it was a beautiful gleaming silver mirror. It was great except the gold side was still a little matte and the point was the parts were gold and shiny. I started sewing them anyway because I thought that they still shine enough on the golden side. Something told me there might be foils on the gold side as well, although they should be transparent. Movies can be a little tricky to get to the corner so it was really hard to tell if there was a movie I wanted to get my hands on or not. Eventually, however, I got the corner and it turned out to be beautiful shiny gold coins, just like I originally wanted. I was able to successfully remove the foil from an already sewn part without removing it; I simply cut off the tape around the hole. All in all they are exactly what I wanted with a fun secret silver side on the back. They just gave me emotional distress along the way. By the way, you can tell if there is still a film if it is not shiny and the product feels a little softer and a little rubbery. I also had an extra 5 in my pack which was nice if my calculations were bad or if someone looked damaged (although my calculations were correct and they all still look good after the foil was removed). In terms of quality, these are only plastic parts. Some look like they have very minor imperfections, but it could also just be the film on them and nothing to render them unusable. They're pretty light considering they're plastic (not as heavy as metal). They are nice and glossy and the mirrors are transparent enough on both sides that I could probably use them for makeup, if I was really in the mood and only size was holding me back. They don't shine like rhinestones, but they reflect light just as well. like any other mirror. I will definitely buy them again and recommend them. Just don't let the movies confuse you.
