I built a chopper station to clean our gray and black RV tanks and used this as the first part to connect to the RV sewer flush lines. Next came a check valve, then a 5'3" flexible hose that connected to a macerator pump. Once the mass was emptied, I closed the valve, filled the sewer lines and tanks with fresh water, and pumped several times until the tanks ran clear The hydroflush nozzle uses a ball valve so you can safely flush and close it, at first I wasn't sure if this would help but it's worth it as it's easier and prevents water from getting onto the RV's floors The connections were tight and the gasket prevented leakage. It was a good buy.
