The seller says this can be used in shorter five arm pieces by omitting the center piece from the build. They ask you to contact their email address before leaving a review with less than five stars. So I contacted the seller and asked how to assemble it from just five branches as the instructions that came with it didn't explain it. I will say that the company responded very quickly and sent me a diagram that basically shows how to use MacGyver. When I couldn't remove the parts that were already there when he sent them, I asked how to remove them. They said to use a broomstick to remove the end caps, which I did. But then they said that you need to remove the docking element. But when I asked how to remove it, he again replied that he pushed it out with a mop handle. The problem is that it's a hollow piece and doesn't have a push-down top. So I checked again and then the emails from the seller stopped. I asked again and no answer. So really, this is not a product that could be cut. The ridge connector is stuck for some reason and shouldn't really be removed. It's hollow metal and pretty overpriced for what it is. The design factor is nice. The price and description and instructions are misleading. If you can use all three partitions, you might be fine. Didn't need this and that's it, I only bought it because they said it could be trimmed. Very disappointed and sent back.
