Australian Shepherd Owner - I have a full size Aussie. He has an anxiety disorder (excessive licking/walking in the past 2 years etc.) from a previous home. BENEFITS: Immediate calming effect! Within 10 minutes he passed out and fell asleep as if under the influence of drugs. I put it on SNUG. First she fed him treats in the form of a "plate" - and then treats during use. Went like clockwork. And he doesn't do drugs! CONS: I feel like it's some kind of dog straight jacket, LOL. He can move all the way (make sure his front legs are free because they got snagged initially) but he's so lumpy when it's on, I feel guilty! Sometimes he cries a little when it's on. Soft howl. Then I feel very bad. In general - it WORKS the tighter it is stretched. I would say tighten it if you need it, otherwise leave it loose until you get used to it. Try to ignore the whining. Enjoy the fact that at least they don't burn your carpet while walking etc. Worth a try.
