I volunteer at an animal shelter and walk dogs and bought these sleeves to protect my hands from toe claws, dog bites or whatever. I haven't been bitten yet, so I can't comment on how protective they are in this situation, but they certainly protect my hands from the dogs' long, sharp claws. There are no scratches, so blood is drawn. I recommend these sleeves for the protection I need. In addition, the seller sent them quickly. I have washed them in cold water in the washing machine and dried them on a clothes line and they have held up great. Would buy here again
