Review on Hello Work Double-Sided Sharpening by James Pope

Revainrating 2 out of 5

We have to weigh the options.

Of all the files I have from Mercer (new), Kobalt (new), Nicholson Handy (new) and all my old ones from Bastard to Black Diamond, Helco cuts the best. However, it's too short. Too short. If you are thinking about it then go to a hardware store and look at the picture I posted with this review. This file would be MUCH better AND SAFE as it is usually larger. In my opinion too short for solid axles and double bits. It's fine for boys with axes at best, but probably best for hatchets.

Pros
  • MADE IN GERMANY - Reversible ax file for sharpening German C125W2 high carbon tool steel. This file sharpener has a top that is a fine tooth pattern with a single cut. The bottom is a double notch with fine teeth. The double-cut file teeth provide more aggressive and faster stock removal for reprofiling or removing nicks and nicks on an ax blade, while the single stroke provides precise sharpening.
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
