If you see a red light indicating polluted water, the device only emits a red light with no additional information, so according to the packaging it can be lead, E. coli, PFOS, etc. The iPhone app only adds to the uncertainty because the location data could not be downloaded "due to". this requires using a "secure connection" which seems to be set according to the iPhone settings. I feel like I'm testing a new device and app. It might (hopefully) get better with future updates.
