Nobody has done anything like this before. It would be an excellent lens even if it didn't have shift and tilt. I've used shift lenses on 35mm cameras since 1971 and have shot with wide format cameras. This lens comes closest to the last control in the 35mm format and is short enough to even provide useful T/S control on APS-C format digital cameras, where it matches the previously shortest 'traditional' lens would. Tilt-shift lenses on so-called "full-frame" cameras. I imagine other manufacturers will eventually match this one, but for now it's the king of its class.
