I am amazed at how well the product is made, just magically!

This lens can be bought after trying a lot, in pursuit of perfection. When gluing together panoramas taken using the shift function, you need to remember about parallax, which can ruin your nerves. Pros below: If you do not use shift or tilt, the quality of the picture is beyond praise in terms of sharpness. Rabbit resistance can be noted: if it catches hares, they are usually small in size and easily removed. But, you always need to monitor the side light, due to the convexity of the lens…

Everything is fine, I liked the product, I bought it for a reason.

It is necessary to democratize the prices for such goods dozens of times. That is, to reduce the cost of processes and materials in every possible way, at least to the level of Chinese assembly. I would rate it triple - 1/4/3. The first - for the price chaos. The second - for the general "functionality", for glass. The third - for design, protection, convenience.

    Pros
    • sharpness
    Cons
    • The real (worldly) inaccessibility for a mere mortal - who lives on a budget salary. Separate anguish - pensioners . Let's say, a former teacher, a factory engineer, that is, an average full-time pensioner (about 2.8 million Belarusian) will need to save (eating greasy air and living even without a tent, in the open) 17 months in a row. And add a camera, a bag, even a Chinese one, memory cards, and so on.

I am delighted, the product is really worthy.

An excellent professional lens in 35mm format, perhaps one of the best wide lenses from Canon! Canon's most cost effective and useful lens for interior and architecture photographers. After him all sorts of 16-35, etc. just whale soap glasses; The lens is very convenient and can not be replaced in work, for those who really need it. Got pros: - sharpness from the center to the edge of a razor; - almost complete lack of distortion (you definitely won’t notice with the naked eye); - chromatic…

At first I didn't want this lens because nothing.

Initially I didn't want this lens because anything wider than 21mm makes the space pretty cavernous. However, after using it on many shoots, I found it excellent for use in tight spaces. Clarity is exactly what I read.

    Great lens! for camera lenses

I'm a real estate photographer, I have a 24mm T/S, really cool and a 17mm T/S rental was stunning. I had to get this one, I plan to use these lenses for a long time so I bought a new one. I've been looking for a restored Canon one for a while. It's unlikely you'll ever find any of these on a revamped Canon website.

Highly recommended for camera and photography

I can only agree with the previous reviews. A little pricey but great quality so I think you get what you pay for. Not only is there no filter or lens hood, but because of the round front element, it's easy to touch with your fingers without having to pay attention. In addition, it's just great for photographing architectural interiors. Highly recommended.

Great for architectural and structural photography

Bought September 2011 for my outdoor structural photography. Works great. No more crooked lines from my photographed buildings. Of course, as this is a manual focus lens it takes quite a bit of time to set it up properly, but once you get the hang of it, it's a breeze! Super nice: Lenses

Does what it should. Beautiful design. Focusing is more difficult than 24mm and image quality can be less clear. There will be some distortion near the corners (walls/ceiling/lights etc) but 17 is 17 so you're done. Construction of the highest quality. Mine fell off (scratched the steel case) and it still works great. I usually use my 24mm when I can, but in a pinch this thing is perfect.

Required for architecture and interior design

PRO: This lens is essential for architecture or interior design. Even if you have to buy a Canon full-frame body to take full advantage of it because you're using a different system, just consider this lens and camera a must-have purchase. The TS-E 24mm, a great lens, often lacks that little bit extra to frame the shot perfectly. The TS-E 17mm gives that extra something that gets it right. CONS: I don't have enough filters to protect the front surface of the lens. Just pay attention to what…

    Pros
    • Excellent overall performance
    Cons
    • Not trendy

Nobody has done anything like this before. It would be an excellent lens even if it didn't have shift and tilt. I've used shift lenses on 35mm cameras since 1971 and have shot with wide format cameras. This lens comes closest to the last control in the 35mm format and is short enough to even provide useful T/S control on APS-C format digital cameras, where it matches the previously shortest 'traditional' lens would. Tilt-shift lenses on so-called "full-frame" cameras. I imagine other…

    Great for architectural interiors

The Canon TS-E 17mm f/4L is a fantastic lens for architectural photography; especially indoors with small confined spaces. I'm often asked which Canon wide-angle tilt-shift lens I should buy (first). Here are some thoughts: 1. The TS-E 24mm f/3.5L II is slightly sharper and better at correcting chromatic aberrations. Another benefit of the 24mm lens is that it's much easier to use with filters (I use the Lee Foundation 4" x 6" Neutral Density Gradient (GND) Set). The 24mm is my tilt-shift lens…
