I'm switching from an old iMac (with a pretty horrible built-in iSight camera) to a Mac Mini (no camera) and need something for the endless parade of Zoom work calls. The quality of NexiGo is much higher than that of iSight. However, I mainly use the side window as a light source and was surprised at how overexposed the lights are (it's an overcast day and the light from the window is pretty soft - not harsh at all). Surprisingly, the camera looked much better with the tinted window, which significantly reduced the overall amount of light but provided a more even amount of light. I recorded the clip using OBS and Nexigo's built-in microphones; Audio playback volume was quite low. I usually use headphones and a microphone when using Zoom, so it's fine, but others may have higher expectations for the device's sound quality. I like the field of view (I originally bought a unit with 110 degrees FOV which was MUCH wider). 1080p looks good in even/flat lighting. NexiGo usually has good reviews, which is why I spent $50 on this model instead of less for an unnamed model with the same specs. If I bought this as an all-in-one webcam and microphone solution for Zoom calls, I probably wouldn't be happy. It's not bad. It works. This is a solid "C" performer.
