Nice concept but not heavy and can't connect flat ends

My child with autism loves to play with pop music so I thought this miniature set would be fun. Also, we usually love special items. They are very cute and packaged in a reusable plastic jar. However, they are made of thin plastic and are very easy to crush and crack. In fact, some of the ends were already crumpled upon delivery, so you couldn't put them together as advertised. Very disappointed with the quality and durability. And the fact that they are advertised as "heavy duty".

Pros

Create unique sounds - these expandable tubes become sound tubes too! Push or pull them to different lengths, swing them around a bit, and kids can make music.
