This ladder was used gently for two weeks to help a 166 lb disabled family member. After two weeks of use, one of the hinged leg ties was bent so badly that the spring-loaded locking pin failed to secure the leg. This caused that particular leg to collapse under any weight, rendering the device unusable. As with most online purchases, this unit wasn't worth the return shipping cost. This folding stool/ladder is a great idea and was very handy with the handle provided, but it just isn't strong enough for its intended purpose. If you buy one, check the mounts regularly for foldable legs or you risk falling off once while someone you care about is standing on it.
