This works fine for me on the Mosquito hot end connected to my Railcore printer. I had some problems with filament clogging and it helped protect the hotend and BTtouch and also gave me more confidence that the silicone cover would protect the system from ugly cleaning if I had another filament problem. Since your thermistor and heating element can be mounted on either side, you will need to cut off part of the boot to bypass the wires. This is a practical solution, not a problem as some posts imply.
