This chair is designed for a children's desk, so bear this in mind when purchasing. However, I'm a small adult (5ft tall, 100lbs) and use it with no problems. It feels solid and offers back support while rolling easily. I bought this for my 5 year old desk and although it's a bit small for that (he doesn't sit all the way back and his feet don't touch the floor in the lowest position) the height is good for his desk which is for a child. It was very easy to build and looks great in his room. This chair is slightly smaller than the average adult task chair, so it will take time to outgrow it. Good buy for the price.
