The sound quality is not very good and the product does not work as a desk phone: the handset cord is so stiff that it takes the phone base off the desk when you pick up the handset and leave the phone cord disconnected from the back of the phone. See photo. There is a cable channel on the back of the phone, but the thin cable that comes with this unit comes straight out. Generally bad quality. Although it's one of the cheapest phones available on Amazon, I bought another much better quality one for less than a dollar more (an AT&T TR1909 Trimline corded phone with caller ID). Finally, the color isn't "violet" (where a violet color is expected), but a reddish violet. Verdict: It works like a phone, and if you're looking for the cheapest phone you can buy, this is it. That's why I gave two stars. But it's cheap and cumbersome to use, and you have to screw it to the wall. For less than a dollar you can buy a phone 10 times better than this one (see above).
