Bought these after using some of the brand's straps with a friend. I believe the "by hand" method is the best option. The shoulder straps aren't very suitable for anything else I've moved. However, I think it depends more on what we had to move. Adjusting the straps is easy and they work as well or better than the more expensive options I've used in the past. Or so I thought. The last two times I tried to move with them the buckles slipped off as I walked down the stairs. The straps got longer and we almost dropped the stuff we were wearing. Spend a little more and get the ones that aren't regulated.
