The sandals have great arch support for my very high arches and bony legs! I'm an adult who wears a women's size 5/5.5/6 depending on the brand or shoe (about 8.5 inches in a foot from heel to toe). In the children's room I wear a 3 or 4 depending on the size chart. I liked the look of this shoe more than others because of the thin double straps. But this couple hasn't adapted as much as adult couples. I was very surprised since they are for children. I don't recommend them unless you have bigger legs. I also noticed that although the soles of the ladies 5 and these kids 3 are the same length, the ladies are about a quarter inch thicker. I think the extra pillow might make him more comfortable in the long run. *By the way, I've been wearing these women's pairs for a week and they offer very good support throughout the day. They don't look very worn despite running mostly on gravel and mud. I also caught her on the floor of an old, rough door. I thought I just ripped my new sandals. They didn't have a single damage! This is my first time owning this brand and seems pretty reliable. Also, the buckles stayed where I corrected them! The sandals feel very secure which is important to me after an old sprain.
