I had read some mixed reviews about Caydo Aida fabric in general but decided to give it a try. And my feelings about this choice are also mixed. The package came quickly, all the pieces of fabric were wrapped in a plastic sleeve. Most (4 out of 7) items are simply gorgeous, bright white and clean. It sheds a little but that is the nature of the fabric. However, there are some black fibers woven into two pieces of fabric. After some time, I managed to carefully pick out a small, small piece of it with a needle. It didn't do much because it's impossible to get everything. There are red dye stains on one of the pieces of fabric, I can't see them without completely destroying the fabric. There's a piece on one of the pieces that was either a little tighter or with more thread than usual, but luckily it's close to the edge so hopefully I'll be able to frame it at some point. But my biggest problem is that one piece has a big ball of thread in the weave where I think the machine got stuck and sewed/weaved a section over and over again. I can't help it so I have to use this section for a smaller cross stitch pattern that doesn't come close to it. And these are small things that might not matter to people who don't do cross stitch, but to those who do it regularly and take their work seriously, it's a big deal. You expect a clean, transparent fabric. Those red spots or those black threads can ruin a blank canvas and draw attention to that mistake when looking at the finished stitch. And selling or giving away your work just shows that you care about the finished product. And this ball of thread had to be caught during the quality check of the product. It's not just a difference in color that the human eye can easily miss, it's also a difference in texture. The needle can't even go through this thing. Despite the problems I will not be returning as I needed fabric to work on a project which I will have to donate very soon. I don't have time to order new fabric and wait for it to arrive. So I gotta make it work and hope that it works in my favor. The needle can't even go through this thing.
