I really like the build quality, I was really impressed with the packaging and everything about the lens was immediately satisfying. The downside is that you can't remove the lens hood with the cap on, which is a bit odd, but I like that the lens hood is metal. Image quality is pretty cool, I was hoping it would be a bit sharper, but I probably just need more practice. It's obviously distorted and stretched at the edges, but nothing looks deformed. I did notice some vignetting, but nothing that could be easily fixed in a post. I just love the way colors are rendered in this lens and the background blur is just amazing. Happy I bought this. The frog eye coating or whatever they put on the lens is pretty cool too, seems like it repels dirt, dust and water.
