As soon as it arrived I formatted it to my liking and used it as a backup drive. Since it transfers data quickly over USB 3.0, you shouldn't expect the same from USB 2.0. Has been working flawlessly for almost a year, no errors. Even after downloading lots of videos and testing streaming, it worked well with a slight drop in performance. So far this has cost money.
