Review on TDK 100 Pack Spindle Discontinued Manufacturer by Justin Gerrero

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I've always had great luck with TDK

First of all I have to admit that I haven't bought them from Revain.com yet, although I did buy them retail, and up until December last year (the last package that I bought) I only had a few stands out of hundreds of CDs and/or DVDs. I agree with many other reviewers that you should check your hardware compatibility first as you may have "a burner" that they are having trouble with. I've also used DVD+R and DVD-R interleaved packs and they both work great. The only two types of problems I've encountered are NOT even a TDK error. A) Dying disc burners and B) power outages (although this didn't shut down the PC thanks to my APC 1000 surge protector and battery backup, it 'shook' the burner enough to make the disc unreadable in regular DVD players) . I overwrote the same and the next CD worked great. I have to say that the price made me look at other media, although the price is the only reason. If TDKs are priced in your "range" or you can catch them selling well, I would buy them. I recommend them (as well as the DVD+R TDK) 100%. [Update November 2013:] Contrary to my bad luck. (assuming I've been through more of that spindle than the TDKs I ordered) with the other half of the Revain.com DVD-Rs, just like when I buy TDKs from local stores. The TDK disc pack I ordered from Revain works fine on all my burners (writing or reading data/blank discs from the spindle). I've said it before, although I'll say it again. I trust and recommend TDK media 100%. Again and again with (aside from the expectations I mentioned when writing this review) NO (yes, I said no). not a single bad disc in what was now. Hundreds of DVDs or CDs.

Pros
  • Blank Media
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging
