Review on Toshiba MQ01ABD100 1TB 2.5" Internal Hard Drive by Minoru Koshida ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Everything in the purchase suits, a very necessary product.

Native Dell Inspiron 5558 laptop screw that comes with it. I have two laptops - with black and red cases. I mostly use black. For a black laptop, the screw worked quite tolerably from January 2, 2022, but by March 2022 it began to slow down when loading, and when the laptop was turned off, it hung up and the laptop remained in that position. On 03/25/2022, a 128 GB SSD under the OS was installed in its place, and the HDD became storage in a skid in place of the CD drive! The laptop just took off! On October 25, 2022, I checked it with the "Victoria" application - three bad sectors were found! Apparently, they caused the above problems! As of December 1, 2022, the HDD is 39% full, read and write speeds are almost equal and amount to 74.47 and 73.43 Mb / s, respectively. Also, the drive was turned on 4119 times, having accumulated 17312 hours (721 days and 8 hours). At the red laptop the situation with the screw is worse! On November 30, 2022, it did not load: a problem was found with the winload. Exe file. There is nothing to do, I transferred the laptop to the SSD scheme - under the OS, HDD - under the database. Of course, everything worked as it should. Crystal Disk Info showed that the HDD has 8 remapped sectors! On the second laptop, the HDD is now a database! As of December 2, 2022, the HDD has turned on 2204 times, running for 17420 hours (725 days, 20 hours) and losing 8% health!

Pros
  • Capacious screw. Although 1 TB is not really that much, I still don't know how to fill it!
Cons
  • Sometimes it slows down!

Its pros: Recording speed at the time of the first days, price Its cons: Reliability, noisier than other hard drives but not much

Got pros: durability, about five years (notebook w Win7 -> Win10 64bit), moderate noise (there were noisier hdds in laptops), Cons: slowness and brakes in all recording tasks (I fully share the negative of other reviewers)

I would only recommend it as a file cleaner. For the system no-no! Curse download speed and reaction to launching programs

On modern laptops, seeing this disk instead of SATA-III is a perversion. The disc becomes less readable over time. No, it does not crumble, it just slows down in a terrible way.

With its pros. Quiet, unreliable, not a single failure in 3 years With its cons. SATA-II, very slow at 5400 rpm
