Review on Sleepsack Swaddle Cotton Slate Platinum by Michelle Vazquez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great sleep for the baby! Just a few tricks.

I'm bad at changing diapers, so a zippered diaper is a must for us. My favorite feature of these diapers is that the instructions for them are printed on a silky panel on the inside of one of the wings so any janitor can use them properly. Also, the "Best on the Back" embroidery on the outside is a good indicator of whether the swaddle is strong enough to support his arms (it should be baby-oriented). Our child prefers to sleep in one of them at night, usually wrapped with his hands in front of his face. But when it's really warm outside (over 70 degrees), he's usually better off with his wings loosely folded and his arms outstretched. If it's the 80's then it's too warm for our kid who is naughty and won't sleep when he's hot. I really like the double zip design which allows me to change the diaper without undressing the baby completely. However, sometimes the zipper puller (especially the bottom one) is difficult to pull out of the pocket. It's really hard for daddy's big fingers. The velcro is very secure, which is great for preventing a child from breaking it, but it can be difficult to undo, especially if no child is holding it for you. I highly recommend fully sealing the wings before washing. Ours grabbed and ruined many other items in the wash before I knew it.

Cons
  • Low repairability
