A lot for the price

Great for the price. I got this for my gerbils. They like to use it for bathing and potty training. I think they even ate some. It's cheaper than chinchilla sand and safer than play sand.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Nice warm sand: Aquarium substrate

My beard seems to like this sand a lot! It's said to be a lot more warm than other brands as it's in it a lot more than it used to be and loves to fiddle with it all day long! Great color too. Does not discolour the skin! love the texture!

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • Easy maintenance

Change target words

I searched for aquarium sand and even flipped through to see it says "fish" somewhere on the page. And when I tried to use it, it was absolutely, ridiculously, dirty. Not only that, it's really dirty, dirty. I wouldn't use it in a reptile habitat either.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

I definitely wouldn't use this for lizards or reptiles.

Used this salt on dig boxes (Uromastics and Bearded Dragons) I would advise anyone against licking all lizard things to make sure they are safe, this stuff is thick rough lumps that will stick to lizard tongues. Use coconut fiber instead!

Pros
  • Easy Install
Cons
  • Thin

Nice touch for a terrarium.

I used this as a second layer of substrate over a layer of sand mat for my bearded dragon terrarium. He seems to enjoy it, it gives him the opportunity to dig a little while walking along the ground. There is some controversy as to whether sand is safe for bearded dragons due to its consumption. However, as long as you groom your beard or take it out of the terrarium to feed, it's not a big problem.

Pros
  • Significantly reduces risk of reptile damage
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Always disgusting crap!

Very disappointed with this sand. When our turtle goes about its business, the sand will NOT stick together immediately. Urine sits in a puddle and stays there. However, it takes HOURS for the sand to fully absorb the liquid where it can be scooped out. This means our turtle will then walk on it, causing clumps of sand to stick to its belly and covering its legs and feet in coarse, sticky sand. Now I have to bathe him every time I let him out, which means at least a couple of times a day. So…

Pros
  • Contains essential strontium, potassium and magnesium
Cons
  • Problem

Using this product made my bearded dragon very sick!

I would not use this in any bearded dragon enclosure! I am disappointed in this product. Says it's safe but after only 6 days in my bearded dragon cage he's terminally ill! He is not eating and cannot move his hind legs. We have removed this product from its packaging and hope this helps. Do something good for your dragon and do not use this product. I can't say it's bad for titles or other reptiles but I can and will say my bearded dragon got very sick after using this product. I hope he feels

Pros
  • Natural odor neutralizer; Creates a totally natural environment
Cons
  • I will add later
