Useful tool - just what I was looking for
This turned out to be just what I needed to grow grain on cedar. I use it on a Festool random orbit sander. That works great! I would imagine it would be useful for other applications where sandpaper wouldn't work because the surfaces are uneven instead of flat. I hooked my grinder up to a vacuum and wasn't sure how well these pads would let dust through, so I used a hammer drill and punched four holes in them to keep the grinder from overheating. It works great!
