NOT AS RECOMMENDED Optics

I bought this microscope for my granddaughter. Firstly, the description states that this scope comes with both 20x and 50x lenses. This is not the case - 10x and 20x lenses. The title on the page says the lenses are 10x and 20x, but unfortunately I couldn't read the name. I only read the main part of the description. Second, photos showing enlarged images in ads are simply misleading. I am a cell biologist and I can assure you that this microscope is not capable of producing images like the photos shown in the advertisement. Additionally, the slides that come with this scope are significantly worse than the color scheme shown in the photos in the ad. National Geographic should be ashamed to put its name on this product.

Pros
  • Sturdy workmanship
Cons
  • Expensive
