I buy LOTS of Bugatchi polo shirts and medium always fits me perfectly. But this Medium is more like Small. EACH shoulder seam is approximately 1.2-1.5 inches narrower than normal (2.5-3.0 inches overall). Also, despite the excellent colors, the fabric is very thin. Thinner than usual, that's for sure. I don't know if you've noticed, but about 2-3 years ago Bugatchi started using MUCH CHEAPER fabric than they've been using for years. Literally built like tanks, previous generation shirts could withstand years of normal wear and tear. But new shirts will literally (no exaggeration) stick to anything the FIRST TIME you put them on. In fact, many of the new polos with contrast collars and T-shirts with contrast stitching (made of the same fabric) don't even hold up to washing in the washing machine. Even if it is turned inside out to protect, the fabric will form small balls of fluff, which will adhere to the surface of the fabric as transparent, microscopic elastic fibers, so that the elastic fiber through half of the shirt, causing an abnormal indentation and making the shirt look beautiful and new to scruffy and shabby. I've often wondered if Bugatchi was trying to sell their company for a higher amount based on a false higher profit due to using cheaper fabrics/costs? However, I did not wear or wash this particular shirt because it was too small to start with. If it would fit like normal mediums I would be very worried about this new thin fabric which I have never seen before.
