After all the expensive luxury products I've used, it's nice to try an inexpensive, readily available jam made with ingredients is filled, to which I tend is light, absorbs very quickly. It's a moisturizer (among other things) but feels too light for my dry, middle-aged skin. I haven't used anything else above it, but I can do it at night using this. As with any retinol product, start small and slow. Try applying it 1-2 times a week at night until your skin gets used to it, then increasing the dose to every other night. Then possibly for the night, if necessary. These instructions are included in the box (which is also visible in the product photos), which I really appreciate. Not many products take care of this important information. The container is a push-down dispenser to keep the product fresh and safe from bacteria. However, if you prefer to take from an open pot, the lid can be unscrewed like a lid. Each full squeeze on the dispenser delivers a sufficient amount. Simple enough to cover your face and neck. Take a little more for the chest. The cream is pale yellow (like yellow custard) with no discernible odor. Strokes for a light and fresh feel. Absorbs well - does not dry out. My dry skin could use some extra moisture but I didn't use anything else. I am impressed that my skin looks and feels good in the morning. So maybe I don't need anything else. When I arrive in the morning, I wash my face and go about my daily routine, including sunscreen. Recently, I really like L'Oreal products. Having become more comfortable with my skin, I can now be more selective in my choice. So far this product has served me well.
