I liked the product display, it's easy to read and has a nice soft blue colour. However, while driving I noticed that the battery voltage meter jumped quite a bit, going from a very strong charge (green) to a questionable charge (amber) in a matter of seconds. Interestingly, it turns amber as it rotates. Today I only tried it on accessories, ie without the engine running; The voltage dropped very quickly to around 11+ volts with a red dummy light illuminating indicating a bad battery. The battery, new in 2018 and same year Toyota Highlander, started the car strong, although the red indicator light immediately switched to green LED, which corresponded to the alternator being charged. Basically, I need something that if it's working properly, I don't wonder if something is wrong with my electrics. In my experience it has a high false negative rate. I'll try another brand and if they do the same thing I'll go to the dealer and have them determine if the battery or alternator is a problem. If this is problematic I will come back and edit this review to show how useful this tester is. i give it back
