Seldom does a product exceed my expectations; but this one does. This stand has strength and weight to handle large reflectors, but you will need a sand bag if a breeze is stirring.Light stands can be tossed in the trunk of a car without much care. However, I place this unit inside a box before piling it into the trunk. It has levers and joints that could be damaged if roughly used.There is a learning curve. Set aside some time to play with this boom stand before using it in a production environment. For me, this stand replaces a helper and allows me to work solo on many jobs.It would surprise me if any other product in this price range could perform as well, certainly not better.
