Fantastic unit, solid construction. Works great with DC motor speed controller for power control. Heats up a lot of air. 2 of these would be enough to heat the interior of a car in 0 degree weather. I would say maybe 3 for a van. Torture test at 14.7 volts for 20 hours. The main wires almost did not heat up. Very reliable. No odor after the first burn, although the burn was a bit coarse with a slight smell of burnt rubber. Disappeared after about 15 hours of work. A highly recommended article, especially when compared to those horrible black and red "thaw" fire hazards. Mine draws about 14 amps.
