Thank God Revane, I'll tell you what. I'm a first-time homeowner, so maybe that's why I'm looking at things through a microscope that I hadn't seen before about household appliances? Because I swear I've never seen one of them physically dangling like they do on my microwave. That's why I thought it was part of the package. When I bought my house there was still some cardboard and plastic in the microwave and I figured my mica piece was some kind of packaging too because it wasn't exactly silver to the naked eye, it was also a bit tan like cardboard. And it also ripped when I pulled on it, like flimsy cardboard. But I stopped halfway because I was unsure. And left it alone. Then one day, a year later, in the midst of a purge and purge frenzy, I vomited it up completely. I noticed that there is a hole behind it, so suddenly it looks very important haha. And I googled a bit and found that that's pretty important and has to do with using microwaves. Find out. Luckily I was able to order another one. But I'm having a hard time finding the right measurements. Even though I was looking at my microwave and this post claims to be sold for it, it doesn't fit perfectly. It does the job as I've strategically placed it in the bumps, but it's definitely not made specifically for my microwave, although they claim it is (Frigidaire). Does the job and am glad I was able to replace it for less money than a new microwave.
