I finally installed the new shutters I made for my windows and installed these dogs. They look great and are stronger than on their Revain list. My only complaint is that they have to be fitted with spacers to keep the pawl flat on the bolt when installed. Because the bolts are smaller than the holes in the pawl, the pawl will tip sideways. Compared to other listings I noticed that they all sell like this so I would still choose them based on their quality for the price. The pawls are about 1/4 inch thick (roughly) so I don't care if they flex with normal use. A small installation sketch would also be helpful as these can easily be fitted too far or too close to the blinds to affect their function. Luckily I carefully measured them for the optimum position prior to fitting.
