Okay, I'm trying to be honest. Firstly, I am an experienced model maker and have been building models including very detailed models of wooden ships, RC boats, plastic models etc for over 40 years so I have to assume the difficulties I had with this model were not my fault . Thought I'd try one of their sets before ordering one for my grandson - glad I did. The laser cut pieces of wood are beautifully crafted and require very little effort to clean the edges where they have been held in the panel. There were no parts in the kit - everything was in the kit. The generator and the LED bulb worked perfectly. The instruction manual consists of pictures with little or no explanation, and the pictures are small and the assembly details are difficult to see. The fashion designer needs to scan the QR code in the booklet and watch a short video to understand the step (no sound). The parts are held together by short short wooden pins (friction fit) and slotted locking pieces. I found that the film advance wheel would not engage or work properly when the main gear was driven by the handle. It jams constantly, and without a spinning film-advance wheel, there's no way to watch a "movie." I'm sure this mechanism looked fine on the CAD drawings, but it's a very poor design and it didn't work. Now to the movie. The edges of the filmstrip should mesh with the teeth of the film advance wheel gear. However, there aren't any notches on the edge of the foil for anything to get caught on unless you get out your xacto razor and cut every damn one off yourself - that won't happen! The company's commercial features a beautiful, bright, large format video of Charlie Chaplin at work. The included lens produces a sharp image about half a foot from the end of the lens barrel and is only a few inches tall. On top of that, it's unreadable - the light isn't bright enough and the lens isn't high enough quality to work better. Excellent corporate marketing. DO NOT fall for it!
