Review on ๐Ÿฅƒ Enhance Liquor Flavors with Viski Liquor Aging Kit - 2 Charred Oak Wood Sticks, Stopper Pourer, Stainless Steel, Silicon by Christine Vargas

Makes the whiskey smoother

After a week I noticed a slight discoloration of the bourbon and I noticed some softness when chewed or heated (the alcohol in the bourbon didn't burn as much). lol!). After 2-3 weeks the bourbon was pretty smooth - surprisingly I would say. At this stage it is very easy to drink clean. For reference, I used Benchmark for this experiment - an inexpensive but popular and well-priced Kentucky bourbon. My observations are: I like most Benchmark bottles the way they are (I find some bottles/batches much better than others). The direct effect of this burned Viski wood liner was to make the benchmark smoother, but I also felt that the flavor dropped a bit. After a week I tried the Viski versus the rest of the original bottle (exactly the same bottle) and the Viski was a little smoother, a little darker, burned a little less on the way down and had very small blackheads. Wood chips in every sample I've poured. I don't think the black shavings matter much, but it worries me a little. However, I drank it LOL! After over 2 weeks I don't have any of the original tests to compare it to the Viski batch but I can definitely say that the Viski is very smooth at the moment. However, I feel it lacks a bit of flavor. So if you're a fan of the smoothness of your bourbon, this whiskey is definitely for you. If you like all the flavors and mouthfeel it might be worth a try, but experiment with the first batch. Maybe try a pint or half pint and compare it to the pure version before going all out.
