Overall very well made with a moderate flaw. The white tips on my doorstops are pretty hard. So when a doorstop strikes, it causes: - an abrupt stop of the door contact - a moderate contact noise (louder than comparable doorstops with a softer tip or mechanism) - tends to push the door back in the closing direction - the contact creates an impulse that reverses the vibration transmitted through the door. (sometimes heard too) Not sure if this is an issue caused by sitting on a shelf for a long time with a specific batch, if this is a material replacement issue, or if this is by design. Hardness may even be desirable for some. Not me.
