A year ago I discovered hand fans and tried several of them. I liked them and could put them on the table. However, now I've stumbled upon these fans you carry, which seems very convenient, so I thought I'd grab a few to check out. As far as I can tell, there are two dominant form factors. They are all worn around the neck, but some have a sort of thick back that sits on the back of your neck and then two thin but flexible sleeves that go around the front, each with a small circular fan attached to the end. . The other type I've seen has a thinner back that gets thicker as you get closer to the front and has vents at the top. This type seems to blow more on your neck, while the first type blows on your face, giving you more options to direct the airflow where you want it. This fan is of the second kind. On the other hand, its flexibility makes it very easy to put on and take off. Second, since this is a side slit look, you don't have anything on your face, making it less obtrusive. Whether this is a plus or a minus may depend on the individual, but this one blows more down the throat and sides of the face, while the other style blows straight into the face or at an angle to blow more down the throat. I've tried both types and liked both. I guess it depends on my mood and where I want to direct the airflow. Not that others I've tried have been difficult to put on, but this one is very easy to put on, so I have a feeling I'll be using it more often. Like every other fan I've tried, the air blows pretty close to your ears, so if you're running at the highest speed, it's pretty loud for you. It's not very loud to someone close to you, but when it's blowing so close to your ears it sounds very loud, making it impossible to watch TV with it unless you're using headphones or have the volume turned really high. The list doesn't state exactly how long the battery should last for each fan speed, but it does list 2 to 6 hours depending on the speed. I understand it should last 2 hours on the highest level. It took me 1 hour 58 minutes. I could use a little more at a lower speed, so I'd say it's accurate when it comes to timing estimates. In terms of price, it's not the cheapest I've tried, but it's not the most expensive. It's somewhere in the middle. I would say it's worth a try.
