Review on ๐Ÿพ Pawkin Cat Litter Mat: Patented Design with Litter Lock Mesh for Clean and Tidy Floors by Beth Martin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

and definitely the best. Cloth - don't waste your money

I have 5 cats and I also help a cat rescue organization. I have to clean 3 to 6 litter boxes regularly. Fosters often have diarrhea, often explosive, so not only do I need a litter box, I need a way to minimize other "spills". This is the fourth type of toilet mat I have ordered and by far the best. Fabric - don't waste your money; doesn't catch garbage, only everything else. One of the others is similar to this one but taller and thinner. I'm only going apart a year. They are nice and thick and the perfect size. I bought three in my first order, was pleased enough to buy 2 more. I know some of the reviewers thought they were difficult to clean - both can't be. If you want to catch dirt, you need a good net. I need to sanitize the mats so I start by going outside and shaking them out and then tossing them in the washing machine along with other cat stuff that needs sanitizing (machine wash is NOT recommended by the manufacturer) - it's never easy. Mats, always different pieces of fabric, to minimize stress on mats, use cold water, detergent and bleach. Hang to dry. Takes care of stuck dirt, dents and other smelly stuff. UPDATE DEC 2018 - After two years of chewing, scratching, clinking and being washed in a bleach and detergent solution in the washing machine at least weekly, they need to be replaced. Another seller's carpet was torn in half during the second wash. In a favorable environment, disinfection is very important; My current children have ringworm, so everything needs to be washed every day. I order more of these knowing that my personal investment is in a long lasting product.
