Bricks turn purple when the light is off. They are connected by two thin wires. Wire is thinner than paper clips. The flashlights can be powered by 3 AA batteries (not included) or connected to a USB adapter (not included) with a USB cable (included). The remote control comes with a CR 2025-2032 battery. The main light color options are based on red, green and blue. Ability to change variations of these colors (e.g. yellow, orange, pink, purple, teal, white) with different hues and light patterns. The remote control offers options to set the timer to 4 hours, 6 hours and 8 hours. When connected to a socket, the light works with the socket timer. The star is subtracted because the light can appear too bright when viewed directly. Can't dim the light.
