So smoking isn't popular anymore and it shouldn't be. I couldn't stop just yet though and needed a good old heavy duty ashtray for the back deck (we don't smoke in the house). It's an old-fashioned kind of plastic. It's plastic so not very heavy, but it's very strong and can hold a lot of cigarette butts. Never drilled a hole in it. It's not stylish on its own, and if I were smoking indoors I'd probably want something nicer. What you see is what you get - a vintage high quality ashtray. acceptable price.
