I am very satisfied with this converter. I have a new laptop with only HDMI output and need it to connect to the VGA data projector in the classroom where I teach. I also needed audio output to external speakers. Worked great the first time. Connect HDMI to your computer, connect a VGA cable to the converter, and connect an external audio cable to the back of the converter and you're done. I also appreciate that the converter has a place where you can screw in the VGA cable to make sure it's reliable. A very handy device and worth the money if you need HDMI-VGA.
