Review on After Inked Tattoo Moisturizer & Aftercare Lotion 7ml Pillow Pack (3-Pack) for Optimal Tattoo Healing by Kanika Costa

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I used to use Aquaphor but now I believe in the premium brand After Inked

, I have several tattoos (almost 20 but most of them are small). I have been using Aquaphor for many years and am very satisfied. And I have loads of these, so when my tattoo artist gave me this for my new tattoos (2 bright colors and 2 small black line tattoos) I kind of shrugged because I didn't think I was going to use it. But I tried it and I'm really excited. And here's why: It's not sticky like Aquaphor! It's more of a lotion than petroleum jelly/kerosene. I can wear pants/sleeves over it or go to bed and not worry about sheets or fabrics pulling on the scabs. (I haven't tried this with jeans, FYI I can't comment on them as I tend to stick with softer materials until they've healed.) The scabs lasted longer which I think is a good thing . You don't lose that much. That's the main reason I fell in love with this material. This lotion - goes away a little for a long time. I had a small sample vial and used it extensively for 2 weeks. (I could use it a lot more sparingly to be honest, but now that I've ordered it here I'm not worried about running out). Pleasant to the touch, no smell, creamy, not sticky as mentioned above. Overall, it's just great and I can only recommend it. I also like the way the hose closes. It has a small slot that you can put the lid in so it closes and doesn't spill. It's not exactly foolproof, but it's an interesting idea, and as long as you don't toss it in a bag or bump it with a bunch of heavy stuff, it'll stay sealed pretty well. (Mine sat in my purse for half a day and everything was fine). I like it, now I will use it instead of Aquaphor.
