I have an illness that causes excessive sweating. My wife and daughter started commenting on how much I needed a shower when I got home from work, which was embarrassing because I work so closely with my co-workers and clients. I dried myself thoroughly with regular soap, showered twice a day, and it didn't seem to affect the body odor I got at work. I decided to try Dettol based on the reviews here. So far it works great. Body odor is caused by bacteria that feed on sweat, not sweat itself. Dettol seems to handle these bacteria much better than any other soap I've tried. My family has noticed a HUGE difference since I started using it. I read a reviewer who complained that it didn't lather well. I'm guessing it has to do with the hardness of her or his water because I don't need a lot of nylon bath sponge to get a huge amount of suds. The smell when using some kind of industry. In fact, it reminds me of the original Lysol cleaner. However, it seems to rinse off completely without leaving an odor on me. My family confirmed this to me, so I'm not just used to this scent. It seems to dry my skin out a bit more than other soaps, but a small amount of moisturizer solves this problem. I'm very pleased.
