Review on Ampper Rectangle Security Personal Monitors by David Robinson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Real glass mirror but not very "convex "

I like the size of this mirror. It is quite heavy because the clip and adjustable metal stand are well made and the mirror is real glass mirror. I could only find one spot on the back of the monitor stand to attach it to. Too heavy for a cockpit shelf and my monitors have "rounded" backs so the clip doesn't attach securely to the monitors at all. Its main disadvantage is that I have a standard view of where the mirror is pointing behind me, and not the far peripheral view I was expecting. I like to see people running behind me from either side, but that's not possible with this mirror as it's not convex or curved enough for this purpose. Very disappointing. I may end up needing to get a smaller round convex cabin rear view mirror and I was hoping that wouldn't happen because I don't need to see from below or above, good side angles are good enough and I prefer a rectangular shape.

Pros
  • Safety signs and signals
Cons
  • Big and chunky
