I bought this because the reviews were good but now I wish I had just spent about $20 more on a brand I knew well. This step stool is an accident and I would not recommend it to anyone I care about. It only gets two stars instead of one because it's really quite light and easy to move around, but you really don't WANT anything that light if you're trying to reach something high up with no support. My height is about 5 feet. 1 inch so I need this stool if I really want to use the space I have in my small apartment. I weigh about 120 pounds and balance pretty well which basically saved me BECAUSE I had to be able to balance on it if I was going to come down unscathed. The stairs wobble incredibly, even on the second step. I stood on the third step for a split second before realizing that this could probably be a fatal error. Needless to say, I still have to ask my tall neighbors for help. I wish I could return this, but with all the noise from Hurricane Ida, I missed the window for a few days. I want to stay alive after you try to put things on the top shelf.
