I first bought it for my new 2020 MacBook Air as the MacBook did not have enough ports to connect all my USB devices and wired network to process. Because I write a lot of video podcasts, reliability, speed and convenience are key for me. At first I liked the device, but occasionally had problems with the connection. At the same time, the MacBook Air also began to overheat. I had a hard time understanding what was causing the distorted audio and video, as well as the intermittent loss of connection. So I sent back both the MacBook Air after reading about overheating and the Lention USB hub. This is where Lention's outstanding customer service comes into play. Even though I told them I was returning the device, they insisted on sending me a new one for free because they were sure it should work for me. Well they are right. I tried the hub they sent and it offers the amazing convenience of a single USB-C connection to my new Dell laptop. While my Dell laptop has many more ports and I could do without a hub, the convenience is to have a connection to my HDMI monitor, a wired network and 4 USB devices with 2 other free USB ports to connect more devices , astonishing. Yesterday I hooked up a complex podcast with a condenser mic and a bunch of everything and everything worked just fine. Although priced at around $70, the cheaper devices just didn't work for me (I have several). Most of them put their weight on the USB-C connector, so I'm concerned that this could damage the connector. Because this device sits on a table and is connected with a lightweight cable, there is no load on the port. Excellent customer service has always been important to me and I feel like this company stands behind their product. I think everyone who buys this will enjoy it because of the convenience. There are no delays in the transmission of audio and video. If I experience anything else I will update. Now I am very satisfied with the performance of this device. Excellent customer service motivates me to write this review. PS I don't use the power connector like I used with a Macbook. because this laptop has a different type of power connector. Update: September 2nd, 2020 - I am changing my rating from 5 stars to 1 star because the product simply gave up the ghost after 4 days of normal operation. I switched it to another laptop, restarted a lot and turned it off. Nothing works. It's dead and Windows no longer recognizes it as a USB device. Contacted support and they asked me to restart everything. Well I did, but I did it again to please the seller. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this product. I went back to another device that doesn't have many ports or a built-in ethernet port. So it's not that convenient, but at least the other product has been working for over 2 months or so.
