Quite adequate

I bought this mouse after three Logitech G602; I liked these mice except that they used a click mechanism that broke quickly. There were a lot of steps to go through when attempting an RMA, so I looked for an alternative rather than bother with it or reward Logitech with another purchase. I was a bit Goldilocks about it, wanted a wireless mouse with more buttons and after much research I bought it after a friend recommended Redragon.I. it is excellent. I don't regret the purchase, it meets the requirements, but I have enough problems that I can only give a weak recommendation if you really need a lot of buttons (like me). Context note: I mainly use this for 'slow' games like Stardew Valley and Subnautica, as well as for everyday use; I have a Logitech G502 that I use for games that require light reaction like online first person shooters or Rocket League. Ergonomics is where it easily excels: I love the shape and my hand feels incredibly comfortable on it. I was concerned at first because many of the wireless mice I looked at were small and the pictures didn't give me a good idea of whether it would fit in my large beefy male hands, but this is probably the most comfortable mouse I have ever had. ever used. However, despite the size, it's incredibly light and too easy to move around (DPI settings can only counteract this). I wish they could increase the battery capacity which would help with the weight and also solve the issues. Battery life. It's not bad, but for a heavy user like me who makes sure to turn it off at night, I have to charge it once a week. (For the record, the mentioned Logitech and the wireless anchor I also use only need to change batteries once a month in this case.) Thankfully, recharging can be done by simply plugging in the included USB-C, while the mouse itself works all the time still ok so it's not a big problem. In terms of mouse usage, left/right click is quite responsive and comfortable. I actually found the left click to be too sensitive as the mouse seemed to periodically send a mouse click command when I had the polling set to 1000Hz. In fact, pressing the left mouse button would have fixed the issue, and lowering the polling rate to 500Hz seems to have fixed the issue. month of use. I'm still not sure what I think of the many buttons on the left side - the main reason I bought the mouse. The number is big, but the size makes it easy to accidentally press more than one at a time. The shape and placement also make them difficult to tell apart by touch, and the travel required for some (like the No. 10) is quite awkward. #5 has a "domestic" bulge, but it doesn't really do much. I expect I'll get used to them over time, but it will be through mechanical use/remembering, not pretty placement. I would appreciate fewer buttons that are larger and easily identifiable by touch. The extra button next to the left button works great. Software. exist. On my Win7Pro machine, it crashed several times when I switched the mouse between wireless and wired mode without first unplugging the mouse, but it never caused a major problem. The user interface leaves a lot to be desired, but I can easily access options without having to delve into the menus/screens. Changing the DPI on the mouse (with non-customizable buttons) shows an overlay that causes the game to slow down (no explicit option to turn this off). ), but you can import/export profiles so manual swapping is possible. The biggest improvement the software can have is a drop-down list of profiles to make swapping easier, even if it's still manual. selected), but since I don't care and can turn it off completely, it's ok. There is a coating on the right side that feels slippery or holds finger oil very easily, so I often think I've smeared it. However, this has diminished over time. The size can make it unwieldy for those with small hands and require more desk space to move around properly. In short, do I think anyone will be happy with this mouse? Of course. Do I think someone /should/? buy this mouse Ehhhh.
