I was looking for a quick and accurate way to catalog my DVD and CD collection and I found it. Both DVDs and CDs have barcodes on their sleeves, and with this cheap but very effective scanner, I was able to do in a week what would have taken me years if I entered the information manually. I have software packages from Collecterz,com that will even download cover art for you and they work great with Proster's barcode scanner. Therefore, there is no need to buy an overpriced scanner and specs to get the job done. brilliant
