I ordered these because I wanted wood not plastic. But the smallest rings are too small for the child's safety. My eight month old baby can fit tiny ones in his mouth. And in a few months he will probably be able to put the ball in his mouth from above. In addition, a wooden pole is dangerous if all the rings are removed from it. My four year old almost fell on it. I'll probably tape everything together and put it on a high shelf for decoration while I order something safer to play with.
