Review on 🚿 Delta RP71718 Diverter Cartridge,Chrome - 3 Functions, Non-Shared by Ashwin Drollinger

Used to replace the valve supplied with Delta's T11997-LHP Six Function Reversing Valve. . It's nothing I couldn't find articulate enough to explain how I used it. I had three separate features I wanted to control: a small handle that you pulled to divert water into the shower 2) a regular shower head (came out of the wall) 3) a rain shower head (came out of the ceiling). Delta R11000 3/6 Setting Diverter Rough) is that it allows you to control the output of your main volume/temperature valve (I used a Delta T17097 Cassidy MultiChoice 17 Series Valve Trim, Chrome faucet) and CUSTOMIZE which of these three "Outputs" where you want to direct the water. This is a unique detail incorporated into the Delta T11997-LHP Six Function Reversing Valve as it does not have "common" positions. With the 6 function valve there are positions between each position where water comes out of 2 of the 3 places I wanted it to come out (not what I wanted). The big disappointment with this 3 function switch is that there are still 6 "clicks" when I turn the crank, I was hoping the knob would only click at 12 o'clock, 4 o'clock and 8 o'clock instead it always clicks still at 2 o'clock, 6 o'clock and 10 o'clock as if it were a valve with 6 positions. the behavior i want since it basically shuts off the water in those positions (i say mainly because it's still constantly leaking but not flowing), but the point is that it should be a function 3, non-separable 3- Position valve, not 3 - working separate 6 position valve!
